City of Pocahontas Grant & Loan Programs
City Revolving Loan Fund
The City of Pocahontas administers a revolving loan fund that assists businesses in development, such as purchasing new equipment and hiring more employees. This loan is available to both startup and existing businesses in Pocahontas. Contact city hall at 712-335-4841 to learn more information and receive a copy of the application.
City Signage & Façade Grant
The City of Pocahontas has set aside funds to assist businesses in replacing signage (up to $500) for their business and making improvements to the façade (up to $5,000 for one side, or $10,000 for multiple sides) of their building. Note that both grants are required to be matched dollar for dollar. You can view the overviews and applications for each of the grants below.
Tax Abatement
If you are constructing a new building or conducting extreme renovations to an existing one for your business, you may qualify for the Commercial/Industrial Tax Abatement program. To learn more and obtain an application, please contact City Hall at 712-335-4841.
